Announcement of the death of The Duke of Edinburgh – 9 April 2021
It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
His Royal Highness passed away peacefully on 9 April 2021 at Windsor Castle.
The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.
The funeral will take place at St George's Chapel, Windsor at 3.00pm on Saturday, 17 April 2021.
